So, what is ringelblume?
Ringelblume, also known as Calendula, is a flowering plant belonging to the daisy family. It is native to southwestern Asia, western Europe, and the Mediterranean region. The vibrant yellow and orange petals of the flower are used in cooking as a natural food coloring and for their slightly bitter, tangy flavor. Ringelblume is commonly used in soups, stews, and salads, as well as in teas and infusions. It is also highly prized for its medicinal properties, with traditional uses including treating skin irritations, promoting wound healing, and reducing inflammation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
