So, what is rooibos tea?

Rooibos tea, also known as red bush tea, is a caffeine-free herbal tea made from the leaves of the Aspalathus linearis plant, which is native to South Africa. The tea has a distinctive reddish-brown color and a sweet, nutty flavor with notes of caramel and vanilla. Rooibos tea is rich in antioxidants, including flavonoids and aspalathin, which may help reduce inflammation and protect against oxidative stress. It is also low in tannins, making it less bitter than other teas. Rooibos tea can be enjoyed hot or cold and is a popular alternative to traditional black or green tea.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like rooibos tea?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
