So, what is rybsolja?
Rybsolja is a traditional Swedish food ingredient that has been a staple in the country's cuisine for centuries. This ingredient, also known as "fish oil," is a nutrient-rich oil extracted from fish such as herring, mackerel, and salmon. It is commonly used in Scandinavian cooking to add depth of flavor and nutrition to dishes. Rybsolja is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for brain function and heart health. In addition to its nutritional benefits, rybsolja has a distinct, slightly fishy taste that pairs well with other traditional Swedish ingredients like dill, potatoes, and lingonberries.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
