So, what is sarcenet?
Sarcenet is a luxurious, lightweight silk fabric that was highly prized during the medieval period for its lustrous sheen and delicate texture. It was originally made from the finest Chinese silk and was often used to make elegant dresses and gowns for the wealthy elite. Sarcenet was also used for ecclesiastical vestments and other ceremonial garments. Today, the term "sarcenet" is sometimes used to describe a fine, silky fabric with a smooth, glossy finish, regardless of the fiber content. This versatile fabric can be used for a variety of purposes, including clothing, home decor, and crafts.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
