So, what is sel marìn?
Sel marin, also known as sea salt, is a natural ingredient that is harvested from evaporated seawater. Unlike table salt, which is heavily processed and often contains anti-caking agents and additives, sel marin retains its natural minerals and trace elements, including magnesium, calcium, and potassium. This not only gives it a distinct flavor, but also makes it a healthier option than regular table salt. Its coarse texture and briny taste make it a popular choice for seasoning dishes, especially seafood, but it can also be used to add depth and complexity to a variety of dishes, from salads to desserts.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
