So, what is serrano pepper?
Serrano peppers are small, slender chili peppers that pack a big punch of heat and flavor. Typically green when unripe and red when mature, serranos have a bright, fresh taste with a slightly fruity undertone. With a Scoville rating of 10,000 to 23,000, they're hotter than jalapeños but not as intense as habaneros. Serrano peppers are a staple in many Mexican dishes, including salsas, guacamole, and ceviche, and can also be used to add spice to soups, stews, and marinades. Their compact size and bold taste make serranos a versatile ingredient for any spicy dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
