So, what is green tops?
Green tops refer to the leafy green portion of certain vegetables, typically herbs or root crops. These tender and flavorful greens are often used as a garnish to add color and texture to dishes, but can also be enjoyed as a nutritious component of salads, soups, and stews. Depending on the plant, green tops may have a variety of tastes ranging from peppery to bitter to slightly sweet. Examples of vegetables with edible green tops include carrots, radishes, beets, and turnips, while herbs such as parsley, cilantro, and dill are also commonly used in this way. Incorporating green tops into your meals is an easy and delicious way to add extra nutrients and flavor to your diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
