So, what is sérum de lait concentré?
Sérum de lait concentré, or concentrated milk serum, is a versatile and nutritious ingredient often used in various cooking and baking applications. It is obtained as a by-product during the production of condensed milk and contains a high concentration of whey proteins, lactose, and minerals. With its unique flavor profile and ability to add rich texture and creaminess, sérum de lait concentré is commonly used in the manufacture of chocolate, ice cream, yogurts, and other dairy products. Additionally, it can be used as a natural preservative and flavor enhancer in soups, sauces, and dressings.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
