So, what is silicate de calcium?

Silicate de calcium, also known as calcium silicate, is a naturally occurring mineral compound that is widely used in the food industry as an anti-caking agent and food additive. It is made by combining calcium oxide with silica and water, resulting in a fine, white powder that is insoluble in water and non-toxic. Silicate de calcium is commonly found in processed foods such as powdered milk, spices, and baking mixes, where it helps to prevent clumping and improve flowability. Additionally, it is used in the production of cheese and other dairy products to enhance texture and extend shelf life. Despite its common use in the food industry, silicate de calcium has no significant impact on the taste or nutritional value of the foods it is added to.
