So, what is sirup?
Syrup, also spelled sirup, is a sweet and viscous liquid that is commonly used as a sweetener or flavoring agent in various food and beverage applications. It is typically made by dissolving sugar in water and then heating the mixture until it reaches a thick, syrupy consistency. Syrup can be flavored with a variety of natural or artificial flavors, including fruits, nuts, and spices, to create a wide range of unique and delicious taste profiles. This versatile ingredient can be used to sweeten desserts, beverages, and even savory dishes, and is a staple in many kitchens around the world. Syrup is available in many different varieties, including corn syrup, maple syrup, and agave syrup, each with its own distinct flavor and texture.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
