So, what is сорбитан тристеарат?

Sorbitan tristearate, also known as STS, is a food emulsifier derived from sorbitol, a natural sugar alcohol. It is commonly used in the food industry to improve the texture and stability of various food products such as chocolate, margarine, and salad dressings. STS is a white, waxy solid that is insoluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents. It functions by reducing the surface tension between oil and water, allowing them to mix more easily and create a uniform texture. This versatile ingredient is also approved for use in personal care and pharmaceutical products.
