So, what is stevia?
Stevia is a natural, zero-calorie sweetener derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant, which is native to South America. It has been used for centuries as a sweetener by indigenous people, and is now widely available as a sugar substitute. Stevia is up to 300 times sweeter than sugar, but doesn't have the same negative effects on blood sugar levels as sugar does. It's also free from artificial ingredients and has a clean, refreshing taste that makes it a popular choice for those looking to reduce their sugar intake. Stevia is commonly used in drinks, baked goods, and as a tabletop sweetener.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
