So, what is sulfate de cuivre?
Sulfate de cuivre, also known as copper sulfate, is a chemical compound that consists of copper, sulfur, and oxygen. This blue crystal powder has various uses in the food industry, including as a food additive and a preservative. It can also be used to prevent copper deficiency in plants and animals, as well as to control algae growth in water. Although it has a range of practical applications, it should be handled with caution as it can be toxic if ingested in large quantities.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
