So, what is kokosnöt?
Kokosnöt, also known as coconut in English, is a tropical fruit that grows on the coconut palm tree. It has a hard, brown, fibrous outer shell and a white, fleshy interior with a sweet, nutty flavor. This versatile ingredient can be used in a variety of dishes, from savory curries to sweet desserts, as well as in drinks such as coconut water and coconut milk. It is a great source of healthy fats, fiber, and essential minerals such as potassium, iron, and magnesium. Whether consumed fresh, grated, or in various processed forms, kokosnöt adds a distinct tropical flavor and nutritional value to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
