So, what is sunset yellow fcf?
Sunset Yellow FCF, also known as Yellow 6, is a synthetic food coloring agent commonly used to add a bright yellow or orange color to foods and beverages. It is derived from petroleum and is a water-soluble powder that is often used in desserts, candies, carbonated drinks, and snack foods. Despite being approved by many regulatory agencies around the world, including the FDA, some studies have raised concerns about potential health risks associated with consumption of large amounts of Sunset Yellow FCF. As such, many food manufacturers are now exploring alternative natural colorings to replace this ingredient in their products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
