So, what is tallowmide dea and mea?
Tallowmide DEA and MEA are versatile and highly functional food ingredients that are derived from animal fats. These compounds are produced by reacting tallow with diethanolamine (DEA) and monoethanolamine (MEA) to create a waxy substance that is often used in the manufacturing of soaps, shampoos, and other personal care products. In food applications, tallowmide DEA and MEA can act as emulsifiers, helping to blend oils and fats with water-based ingredients. They can also be used as stabilizers, preventing the separation of ingredients in products such as sauces and dressings. Additionally, tallowmide DEA and MEA may provide some moisturizing benefits when used topically on the skin.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
