So, what is taugé?
Tauge, also known as bean sprouts, are a type of vegetable commonly used in Asian cuisine. These crunchy sprouts are rich in vitamins C and K, as well as fiber and protein. Tauge can be added raw to salads or stir-fries for an extra crunch, or blanched briefly for a milder flavor. They are also popularly used in dishes such as Pad Thai and Chow Mein. Tauge has a subtle nutty taste with a refreshing texture that makes it a versatile ingredient in many recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
