So, what is taurine?
Taurine is an organic acid commonly found in animal tissue, particularly muscle meat and seafood. It has several functions in the body, including regulating mineral balance and supporting cardiovascular health. Taurine is often added to energy drinks due to its ability to improve athletic performance and reduce fatigue. Additionally, it may have neuroprotective properties and could potentially help with conditions such as epilepsy and Alzheimer's disease. While taurine is naturally present in many foods, it can also be taken as a supplement in pill or powder form.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
