So, what is truffe?
Truffles are a type of fungi that grow underground and are highly prized for their unique and intense flavor. With a black or brown exterior and a dense, meaty texture, truffles have a complex aroma and taste that is often described as earthy, musky, and slightly sweet. These delicacies are typically harvested in the wild, although some varieties are now cultivated, and they are often used in haute cuisine to add depth and richness to dishes. Truffles can be shaved or grated over pasta, risotto, and other dishes, or used to infuse oils, butters, and sauces with their distinctive flavor.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
