So, what is vinagre balsâmico?
Vinagre balsâmico, also known as balsamic vinegar, is a dark, syrupy condiment with origins in Italy. Made from fermented grapes, it has a complex, sweet and sour flavor that adds depth to a range of dishes, from salads to meats. Unlike other vinegars, balsamic vinegar is aged for a minimum of three years, allowing it to develop its characteristic tanginess and rich, caramel-like sweetness. Its versatility makes it a popular ingredient in Italian cuisine, where it's used as a finishing touch to dishes like Caprese salad or drizzled over grilled meats.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
