So, what is vitamina c?
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin found in many fruits and vegetables. It is an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy immune system, supporting skin health, and aiding in the absorption of iron. Vitamin C also acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from damage caused by harmful molecules called free radicals. While the body cannot produce vitamin C on its own, it can be obtained through a balanced diet or supplements. Some excellent sources of vitamin C include citrus fruits, berries, kiwi, broccoli, and red peppers.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
