So, what is ácidos grasos?
"Ácidos grasos" is the Spanish term for "fatty acids," which are essential components of a healthy diet. These molecules consist of a long chain of carbon atoms bonded to hydrogen atoms, with a carboxyl group at one end. Fatty acids are classified according to their saturation level, with saturated fatty acids having no double bonds, monounsaturated fatty acids having one double bond, and polyunsaturated fatty acids having two or more double bonds. Some types of fatty acids, such as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, are particularly important for maintaining cardiovascular health and cognitive function. Fatty acids are found in many foods, including nuts, seeds, fish, and oils.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
