So, what is digliceridos de los ácidos grasos?
Diglycerides of fatty acids, or "digliceridos de los ácidos grasos" in Spanish, are a type of emulsifier commonly used in food production. They are produced by combining fatty acids with glycerol, resulting in a substance that helps to blend ingredients together and prevent separation. Diglycerides are often used in baked goods, dairy products, and other processed foods to improve texture and consistency. Additionally, they can act as a preservative, extending the shelf life of certain foods. While diglycerides of fatty acids are generally considered safe for consumption, some people may have an adverse reaction to them.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
