So, what is carnaubawachs?
Carnaubawachs, also known as carnauba wax, is a natural wax derived from the leaves of the carnauba palm tree, which grows in northeastern Brazil. It is a hard and yellowish-brown wax that is highly valued for its exceptional durability and water resistance. Carnaubawachs is commonly used as a coating and polishing agent in various industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. In the food industry, it is used as a glazing agent on confectionery and baked goods to enhance their appearance and increase their shelf life. Carnaubawachs is also a popular ingredient in car waxes, floor waxes, and furniture polishes due to its high melting point and superior gloss properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
