So, what is dl & l forms?
The dl & l forms are a pair of chemical isomers commonly used in the production of food supplements and additives. These isomers refer to two different forms of an amino acid, where the "d" and "l" designations indicate the orientation of the molecule's stereochemistry. While both forms may have similar chemical properties, their biological activity can differ significantly. This makes it important for manufacturers to carefully select the appropriate isomer for their product to ensure maximum effectiveness. The dl & l forms are widely used in the food industry to enhance the nutritional value of products, and are also commonly used in medical applications.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
