So, what is guindillas?
Guindillas are a type of pepper native to the Basque Country in Northern Spain. These small, green peppers are about 4-5cm long, and have a slightly curved shape. They have a tangy, slightly sour flavor with a mild heat that is less intense than a jalapeño pepper. Guindillas are commonly used in Basque cuisine as a garnish for pintxos (tapas) or in dishes such as the popular marmitako stew. They can also be pickled in vinegar and served as a condiment. Guindillas are a versatile ingredient that adds a pop of flavor and color to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
