So, what is kupfersulfat?
Kupfersulfat, also known as copper sulfate, is a chemical compound that is commonly used as a food ingredient. This blue-colored powder is a copper salt and is soluble in water. It is often used as a fungicide to control the growth of mold and mildew in food products. In addition, kupfersulfat is sometimes used as a coloring agent in foods, giving them a blue or green tint. Despite its usefulness, kupfersulfat can be toxic if ingested in large quantities, so it should be used with caution and in accordance with appropriate safety measures.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
