So, what is lipids?
Lipids are a diverse group of organic molecules that are essential for life and play many important roles in the body. They are commonly known as fats and oils and are found in a variety of foods, including meat, dairy products, nuts, and seeds. Lipids are composed of fatty acids and glycerol and can be either saturated or unsaturated. While lipids have long been associated with negative health effects, recent research suggests that certain types of lipids, such as monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, can have positive effects on cardiovascular health and cognitive function when consumed in moderation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
