So, what is lupins?
Lupins are legume plants that belong to the same family as peanuts and soybeans. These flowering plants are commonly grown for their nutritious seeds, which are rich in protein, dietary fiber, and minerals such as iron, potassium, and magnesium. Lupin seeds can be consumed whole or ground into flour, which is commonly used as a gluten-free alternative to wheat flour in baking. Additionally, they can be roasted and seasoned as a healthy snack, or used as an ingredient in soups, stews, and salads. Lupins have gained popularity in recent years due to their nutritional benefits and versatility in cooking.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
