So, what is tréhaloses?
Trehalose is a naturally occurring sugar molecule that has gained attention in the food industry for its unique properties. It is made up of two glucose molecules and is found in a variety of sources including mushrooms, yeast, and some insects. Trehalose has the ability to protect and stabilize proteins, which makes it a useful ingredient in many food products such as baked goods, snacks, and beverages. Additionally, it has a slightly sweet taste and can be used as a low-calorie sweetener. Trehalose is also known for its ability to improve the texture and flavor of frozen foods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
