So, what is aceite de soya parcialmente hidrogenado?
"Aceite de soya parcialmente hidrogenado" is a Spanish term that translates to "partially hydrogenated soybean oil" in English. This ingredient is commonly used in the food industry as a cooking oil and in the production of processed foods such as baked goods, snack foods, and margarine. Partially hydrogenated soybean oil is created by adding hydrogen to liquid soybean oil to increase its stability and shelf life. However, this process also creates trans fats, which are known to raise LDL cholesterol levels and increase the risk of heart disease. As a result, the consumption of foods containing partially hydrogenated soybean oil is best limited.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
