So, what is acesulfamkalium?
Acesulfamkalium is a calorie-free artificial sweetener that is commonly used in the food and beverage industry as a sugar substitute. It is approximately 200 times sweeter than regular table sugar, making it a potent sweetening agent. Acesulfamkalium has a clean, sweet taste that does not leave any bitter aftertaste, unlike some other artificial sweeteners. It is heat stable and can be used in cooking and baking without losing its sweetness. Acesulfamkalium is FDA approved and considered safe for consumption by most people, including pregnant and breastfeeding women.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
