So, what is acide foliqúe?

Acide folique, also known as vitamin B9 or folic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in numerous metabolic processes in the body. It is necessary for DNA synthesis, red blood cell formation, and fetal neural development during pregnancy. This essential nutrient can be found in leafy green vegetables, citrus fruits, beans, and fortified cereals. Adequate intake of acide folique is associated with a reduced risk of birth defects, certain cancers, and cardiovascular disease. Supplementation with acide folique is recommended for pregnant women and individuals with malabsorption syndromes.
