So, what is ácido l ascórbico?
Ácido L-ascórbico, also known as L-ascorbic acid, is a naturally occurring form of vitamin C. It is an essential nutrient for the human body as it supports the immune system, aids in the production of collagen, and acts as an antioxidant to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Ácido L-ascórbico is commonly used as a food additive to prevent oxidation, improve shelf life, and maintain the color and texture of fruits, vegetables, and other food products. It is a white crystalline powder that is water-soluble and has a slightly acidic taste.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
