So, what is aguja?
Aguja, also known as Spanish Mackerel, is a saltwater fish that is commonly found in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a distinctive elongated body with silver skin and dark blue-green stripes. The flesh of aguja is firm and flavorful, with a mild to medium taste that is often compared to tuna. This versatile ingredient can be cooked in a variety of ways such as baked, grilled, or fried. Aguja is an excellent source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential vitamins and minerals. Its unique flavor and texture make it a popular choice among seafood lovers and chefs alike.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
