So, what is ammónium-karbonátok?

Ammónium-karbonátok, also known as baker's ammonia or ammonium bicarbonate, is a white crystalline powder with a strong ammonia odor. It is commonly used as a leavening agent in baking, particularly for cookies and crackers. Unlike other leavening agents, ammónium-karbonátok does not leave a bitter taste in baked goods and produces a light, crisp texture. It is also used in the production of ammonium salts, ceramics, and as a fertilizer. However, it should be handled with care as prolonged exposure can cause respiratory irritation and eye damage.
