So, what is asadero cheese?
Asadero cheese is a semi-soft Mexican cheese with a creamy texture and mild, buttery flavor. Made from cow's milk, it is similar in texture to mozzarella but with a milder taste. Asadero cheese is commonly used in Mexican cuisine, especially in dishes like quesadillas, enchiladas, and chiles rellenos. It melts easily and is often used as a topping for nachos and other Tex-Mex dishes. Asadero cheese can be sliced, shredded, or melted, making it a versatile ingredient in many recipes. It is often compared to Oaxaca cheese, another Mexican cheese with a similar texture and flavor.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
