So, what is provolone cheese?

Provolone cheese is a semi-hard, Italian cheese that is pale yellow to white in color. It has a smooth and creamy texture with a slightly nutty flavor that becomes sharper as it ages. Made from cow's milk, provolone is typically aged for at least four months, resulting in a firmer texture and a more intense flavor. Provolone is often used in sandwiches, pizzas, and other Italian dishes, where its mild yet distinct taste complements the other ingredients. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a snack or paired with fruits and nuts for a delicious charcuterie board.
