So, what is β-胡萝卜素?

Β-胡萝卜素, also known as beta-carotene, is a natural pigment found in various fruits and vegetables, particularly in carrots. It is a member of the carotenoid family, which are powerful antioxidants that protect the body from damage caused by harmful molecules called free radicals. In addition to its antioxidant properties, β-胡萝卜素 is a precursor to vitamin A, which is essential for healthy vision, immune function, and skin health. It also plays a role in maintaining healthy mucous membranes and promoting growth and development. β-胡萝卜素 is commonly used as a natural food coloring agent and is often added to processed foods and supplements.
