So, what is birnen?
Birnen is the German word for pears, a sweet and juicy fruit that is a member of the rose family. Pears are harvested in late summer and early fall and come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, including green, yellow, and red. This versatile fruit can be eaten fresh, cooked, or baked into pies and tarts. Pears are a good source of fiber and vitamin C, and they are also rich in antioxidants that help protect the body from damage caused by free radicals. Whether eaten as a snack or used in recipes, birnen add a delicious and healthy touch to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
