So, what is fruktosesirup?
Fruktosesirup, also known as fructose syrup, is a sweet, viscous liquid made from cornstarch that is commonly used as a sweetener in food production. This syrup has a high fructose content, which makes it much sweeter than regular sugar. It is often used as an alternative to regular sugar in soft drinks, fruit juices, and processed foods because it provides a similar level of sweetness with fewer calories. Fruktosesirup is also used in baking to keep products moist and to enhance flavor. Although it is a popular ingredient, it is important to consume fruktosesirup in moderation as excessive consumption has been linked to health problems such as obesity, diabetes, and liver disease.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
