So, what is blette?
Blette, also known as Swiss chard or silverbeet, is a leafy green vegetable that belongs to the same family as spinach and beets. The plant has large, fleshy stems that can be white, yellow, or red, and large, glossy leaves that are usually green with red veins. Blette has a slightly bitter and earthy taste, and can be eaten raw or cooked. It is a great source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals such as potassium and magnesium. Blette is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of dishes, from salads and smoothies to sautés and soups.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
