So, what is cane 'sugar?

Cane sugar is a natural sweetener derived from the sugarcane plant. The juice extracted from the stalks of the sugarcane undergoes a process of evaporation and crystallization to produce raw cane sugar. The raw sugar is then further processed to remove impurities, resulting in the light brown, granulated sugar commonly used in baking and cooking. Cane sugar has a rich, caramel-like flavor and is often preferred over refined white sugar due to its more complex taste profile and perceived health benefits. It can be used in a variety of desserts and beverages, including cookies, cakes, coffee, and tea.
