So, what is cassava?
Cassava, also known as yuca, is a starchy root vegetable that originated in South America and is now grown in many tropical regions around the world. It has a rough brown exterior and a white or yellow flesh that is high in carbohydrates and fiber. Cassava can be boiled, baked, or fried and is often used as a gluten-free substitute for wheat flour in baking. It is a staple food in many countries, and its versatility makes it a popular ingredient in both sweet and savory dishes. Cassava is also known for its high levels of potassium, iron, and vitamin C, making it a healthy addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
