So, what is chinin?
Chinin, also known as quinine, is a natural compound derived from the bark of the cinchona tree. It has a bitter taste and is commonly used in the production of tonic water, as well as in certain cocktails and other beverages. Chinin is also a mild antipyretic and analgesic, and has historically been used to treat malaria due to its anti-malarial properties. Today, chinin is still used in certain medications for this purpose, but it is mostly recognized for its distinctive flavor profile and its use in the production of popular drinks.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
