So, what is d-biotin?
D-biotin, also known as vitamin H, is a water-soluble B-vitamin that plays an essential role in maintaining healthy skin, hair, and nails. This nutrient is involved in several important biochemical processes in the body, including energy metabolism, fatty acid synthesis, and gene expression. It also acts as a coenzyme in the production of glucose and the metabolism of amino acids and fatty acids. D-biotin is found in a variety of foods, including eggs, nuts, legumes, and whole grains, and is often used as a dietary supplement to support healthy hair, skin, and nails.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
