So, what is et de gluten?
"Et de gluten" is a French term that translates to "and gluten" in English. Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye, which gives dough its elasticity and helps it rise. Gluten is commonly used in baking as it adds texture and structure to bread, pastries, and other baked goods. However, for those with gluten intolerance or celiac disease, consuming gluten can cause digestive issues and other health problems. "Et de gluten" can be found in a variety of food products, including bread, pasta, and baked goods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
