So, what is d-fructose?
D-fructose is a natural sugar that is commonly found in fruits, vegetables, and honey. It is a monosaccharide and has the same chemical formula as glucose but with a different arrangement of atoms. D-fructose is sweeter than table sugar (sucrose) and is often used as a sweetener in processed foods and beverages. It is also used in the production of high-fructose corn syrup, which is widely used in the food industry. D-fructose is metabolized differently than other sugars, and excessive consumption may lead to health problems such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
