So, what is daikon?
Daikon is a root vegetable commonly used in Japanese, Korean, and other Asian cuisines. Also known as white radish or Japanese radish, it has a crunchy texture and a mild, slightly sweet flavor. Its shape is similar to that of a large carrot, but it has a white skin and a white flesh. Daikon is often used raw, either shredded as a garnish or pickled, but can also be cooked in soups or stews. It is a good source of vitamin C and dietary fiber, making it a nutritious addition to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
