Is e216 vegan?

E216 is a food additive that is also known as Propylparaben, a member of the paraben family. This preservative is often used in food and beverages to extend their shelf life by preventing the growth of bacteria and mold. E216 is particularly effective in acidic and fatty foods such as baked goods, dairy products, and processed meats. Although the safety of E216 has been approved by many regulatory bodies, some studies have linked it to potential health risks. Therefore, its usage and concentration are closely monitored in various countries.
